Mirror power fold module

Well after discovering that I do have power fold mirrors, the garage checked and think its not the switch but the control module found in the drivers side door on a LHD...

This module also allegedly controls the electric windows. I've searched here and elsewhere on the web and can find no reference to it... Sad

Does anybody have info about this? As my thinking is that if I can replace the module with a newer version not only will I get the power fold working but also get 1 touch functionality on the passenger side window Very Happy

Any thoughts? Anybody have experience with this or a part number? Bobby?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

According to the wiring diagram, there is no relationship between them.

Also, the window switch has a separate detent for one touch operation and therefore shows as two separate switches on the diagram.

Hope this helps

Thanks again to Greg for PMing me further information on the matter of the Power Fold Mirrors Thumbs Up

I originally, couldn't find the relevant relay (D197). However, after receiving the photo below from Greg:

I found this:

So the relay is obviously missing... Shocked I've now ordered this from AllParts, hopefully arriving next week.

But now I’m very confused because:

1. D197 Power Fold Relay missing
2. Power Fold Fuse F16 (passenger fuse compartment) present and intact
3. Power Fold function indicated on Mirror Adjuster:

4. My Owner’s Manual makes no reference to Power Fold on page 70, External Mirrors…
5. Bobby’s File on the matter shows an Owner’s Manual that does include for Power Fold…
6. Checked Rangerrovers.net and there's no mention of power fold mirrors in any of the model year specifications.

So I can I check anything else before the Relay arrives to ensure it’ll work Idea ???? Because this is doing my head in… Evil or Very Mad

Just to add this is a North American spec 2006 RRS SC, so has heated wing mirrors, if that makes a difference...

Cheers

Cheers Mikey Thumbs Up

I'll give it a try with the IID Tool. If that doesn't work then it's off to the garage for them to do it.

Cheers

Have never used the IID tool, the system we use is Autologic.

Being mirrors, I would imagine you would be looking in the body system someplace

power fold mirrors are in the body CCF where trailer electrics are etc.

HOWEVER, its complicated - in there, there is a power fold option, (which could be the only one) that is disabled (two options, one includes logic powerfold), despite powerfold being fitted and working.

Ive not found where the default powerfold option is Mike

Disco Mikey, MSE,

Thanks for the help and direction Thumbs Up , looks like a job for the garage as the IID Tool supports the Body Options CCF, however, currently only to a limited extent.

Thanks again for the help much appreciated, and as many have said before this forum is a great source of information and help Thumbs Up Bow down

Cheers

Mikey, MSE,

Just a quick question to make sure I don't put foot in mouth... When you replied to the post were talking about a 2006 MY or a later 2010+ MY?

Thanks in advance Smile

Cheers for the info Guys Thumbs Up

That confirms this diagram I think:

and conters what I've been told that the 2005-2009MYs are only hardwired....

Have a great weekend
