Headlight self test

Hi folks,

My RRS doesn't have the adaptive headlights fitted. With the standard xenons should the headlights go through a self test, i.e. move up and down to settle at the right height? Mine don't but every other car I've ever driven with xenons has, I think it may even be a legal requirement?

Mine doesn't but I'm pretty sure they're supposed to. Passed an MOT like it though so I'm not too worried.
