Funny smell

Hi all. Noticed a funny smell like clutch or burning electrics. It seems to be coming from under the bonnet on the passenger side. Any one else had this problem or know what it may be.

Thanks in advance

Could it be the FBH? Not that I've noticed a smell from mine- but that's where it is.

As already observed, check fuel burning heater and make sure there is nothing Stuck round it's exhaust. Found a cloth from mechanic when mine was services, stuffed up the side. Lucky I checked before firing it up. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

I must be weird, I quite like the smell off the FBH, paraffin? Lovely!
An other odd smell, although it tends to be in the whole cabin, is from the air con, a mildew smell, which means you need to get it serviced

Cheers

The cleaning of aircon is a rip off. All you need to do is run heating system flat out. The smell comes from condensation. I do this once or twice during the summer and obviously all winter the heating is on. No smell and no bill for "deodorising" Thumbs Up 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

FBH is Fuel Burning Heater used by diesels to heat the coolant when the car is started and ambient temp is below circa 4 degrees. Smoke from front left of vehicle, & a smell in cabin is normal. Will go off once the car is warmed up. Thumbs Up
