ECU Remaps and Switchable Remaps for TDV6 and TDV8

ECU Remaps and Switchable Units for TDV6 and TDV8

TDV6 RRP £599: Additional 45 BHP and 100Nm Torque. Forum member price £449

TDV8 RRP £599: Additional 52 BHP and 120Nm torque. Forum member price £449

Customers have reported an increase in MPG for both models after a remap although this is also down to driving style. Dont expect MPG to increase in the first week whilst you have a lead foot enjoying the extra power. Very Happy

If LR do an ECU update on your vehicle whilst in for servicing or warranty work we will reflash your car FOC if you visit us or one of our dealers.

We are based in Bedfordshire and have a mobile service covering the M25 and surrounding areas and Essex/Colchester, Cardiff/Bristol, Birmingham covered by our dealers. We also have a dealer in Chester who work from their workshop.

Once the remap is carried out if you are not satisfied (let us know within 7 days) with the performance we will give a full refund and return the car back to standard.

Evolve Switch : Switchable Remap Units £175:

These can store up to 3 maps ie Factory, and 2 Tuned files say one for Power and one for extra MPG (not developed yet). It plugs in via your OBDII socket and you use the buttons on the side to select which map you want to load in.

If you come to us we will set the unit up for you with both factory and tuned maps.

If we send the unit out to you (Internationa orders welcomed) a PC is required to set the unit up with the supplied software. It is very straight forward and easy to use and of course we are available to help if required.

Once set up for your vehicle the unit is connected to your car via the OBDII port. it does not need to be connected to the PC at this stage. You then take a copy of Factory settings and then take it back to your PC.

You email us the file that the unit has copied from your car and we send you a tuned file back, usually within 1-2 hours. You copy the tuned file into the unit and then plug back it back into the OBDII port and load the tuned file in. You can now switch between Factory and Tuned maps Very Happy The loading process takes about 2 mins each way.

We can provide remaps/switchable units for most VAG and Mercedes Diesels so when the time comes for you to move on you can wipe the units memory and use on your next car.

The unit can only be used on 1 car at a time and the car has to be returned to factory settings before it can be used on another car.

Hi evolve

Is this the same system as 'Alientech' in Italy?

http://www.alientech.to/gatepower/

I used it on a Ford Focus diesel I had and it worked well Smile

What about dealer updates?

how long do you think it will be before the increased MPG is resolved for a Freelander 2 TD4?

Yes Bex, similar Smile

If dealer update is not compatible with old tuned file we will provide new tuned file FOC. The unit will not allow programming if the dealer update is compatible.

All of our tuning increases MPG if car is driven in same manner as before the remap. We just haven't tested whether we can get even more MPG.

Sorry you've lost me...I know that's not hard.....so if a dealer reflashes the ecu will I be able to use the hand-held unit again to restore the tuning? Or do I have to make sure I put my car back to standard before it goes into the dealer?

1. Yes you will in most cases. Sometimes you may not be able to in which case which we will provide a new map.
2. That is up to you but the main reason why customers go for this option.

The special offer for the Evolve Switch have been taken up by forum members on the TDV6 and TDV8 so expect some feedback soon.

Special offer of £350 for the normal remaps are still available although someone has provisionally shown interest for the 4.2 SC.

What should we expect from the SC upgrade?
- Any way to make the remap switchable from Sport mode on the gear shifter?

I.E. Slow and economical in Drive. Then badass mother mode on Sport? 2022 P440e AB

Up to an additional 30 BHP and 40Nm Torque and very enhanced throttle response.

No switchable remaps available for the SC at the moment.

I don't think SC's can be economical Razz I baby sitted for my friends SC for one month and got to know my local Shell garage on first name basis. Smile

Australia

I am one of the people who has taken up Evolve on their offer. Having done the research on alternatives, I am pleased both with the pricing and "switchability" that this system offers. I live in Perth, Western Australia, so anyone international who is wondering about whether to take a punt can view me as a guinea pig.
So far I have found the service very prompt, and emails have been responded to quickly and all questions answered. The guys are expecting to be able to ship by the end of this week, so by the end of next week/beginning of the week after, I will be able to report on the delivery time, product itself, ease of installation, and the most important topic - the gains achieved by the remap.
If anyone feels the need, please feel free to PM me with any questions. Roll on next week............................. Java Black TDV8

Belgium 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HST Alaska White

Sounds like this product is right up my alley, since my LR dealer is somewhat fussy regarding remapped cars. Do you guys also offer a remap for the Diesel Particle Filter equipped TDV8?
I had my fair share of hickups after my car got remapped due to a full DPF. 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java/Ebony(Gone)

We have not had any reported problems with DPF's on remapped TDV8's. Most of the ones we do remap are very new with little or delivery mileage on them.
