Its not very good when the tuner can not hand on heart say its there own software made and developed by them, nor are willing to tell you who actualy makes it. Im glad im not in that minority and can actualy say its me that presses the buttons and makes the tune what it is I look forward to your call bex. Regards Pete Follow Us On Twitter @bellautos |

Hi Bex, On the same note, I can't see on the "Site Sponsors" bit that Evolve or JE are actually site sponsors - it may be that the site needs up-dating but from what I recall, they have been saying they are site sponsors for some time now I am glad Pete has posted something on here now as he really is probably the only "site sponsor" that is true to his word and produces his own maps through development actually using vehicles and testing them etc I originally got in touch with Allisport for the re-map on my Defender and they were talking me into a "stage 2" map with loads of power (huge BHP figs) which sounded good as my previous TD5 Disco had a stage 2 on it (they were a bit pricey mind). I then I decided to get in touch with Pete as he is a Defender2 site sponsor - guess what, he produces the re-maps for Allisport and has told them to be very carefull when suggesting the stage 2 to anyone other than folk looking at events and able to repair a vehicle themselves He went on to tell me that the TDCi Defender is a stressed enging in standard form and not to go to stage 2 as I would have lots of trouble with turbos, exhaust manifolds, heads warping etc etc, all of which has been proven through time and folk trying to get every ounce of power out of that engine It was only through talking to Pete about my RRS TDV8 that I even thought about a re-map and having the switchable system on my Defender has proved invaluable and the same system is available for the RRS TDV6/8. If you do go to Pete, you wont be dissapointed. Russell. "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
