Well Saturday afternoon I thought It's time to change my compressor and stop that orange light on my dash thats on 30 seconds after start up every day for the past 2 weeks. So cover off and there it is, so top bolt being the problem I thought thats the one to get . So I got my 10mm spanner on one the bottom ones to see how tight and for correct spanner size and slackened one of the bottom one off 1/2 a turn. but try as I might, I could not get to the top one. I couldn't get the top half of the cover off and seeing as my internet decided not to work I conceded defeet and went to tighten the bottom bolt, Only for it to turn and not tighten up. So I only have 2 bolts holding it on and one bolt that stipped the thread in the beam it bolts to. the other problem is if I could get to thew top one and another one strips how do bolt it back on. Help Me Please how do I get the top bolt out and how do I fix this. 07 tdv8 stornoway grey at home tucked up

You need to get three new anchor nuts before you remove the pump, just go to your nearest dealer and ask them for the compressor chassis mounting anchor nuts, I would also get the two cover ones as well.

Cheers I will call them later. Would a touch of WD help with removing the pipes do you think? Another thing whilst I'm on I put the into off road and the car rises. I then put 2 wooden blocks under the chasis at the back. Will the car drop when I take the compressor off or not. If it does will I need to reset anything, the compressor isn't a new one it's a nearly new original free issue that was working well a couple of weeks ago.
