I've not done it, but I think the riskiest part is getting the temperature right to enable the glue seal to melt enough to pries them apart.

It's not to bad done mine last week, get a good heat in to them with a hair dryer then start prising them open |

But don't use a screwdriver as awdman did as he has warped the edges where they split, instead when I did them again I used a wall paper scraper as the wider blade opens it better. IMO I wouldn't do it, awd mans kit was wasn't in two years before they failed and I had to split then again. |
