United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

this may sound like a silly question but how do you "fold" the clay? When I used my clay bar last, I remember it getting full of debris and i had to fold and knead the bar to remove these from the surface, before moving on to a new area. It seems to me as though this debris is constantly on the surface of the cloth and could therefore have a scraping effect Confused Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

The idea with these Luke is that you constantly recycle them in a bucket of soapy water.
I think they also work better once you have done a vigorous decontamination, eg, Iron removal (something like CarPro's IronX or Bilt Hambers Korrosol) and tar removal (something like Autosmarts Tardis). That way you are merely removing the last stubborn bits of contamination.

I wouldn't use these on a heavily contaminated car for risk of severe marring like you say. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

thanks for that Beancounter! it sounds like this is a convenient addition then to the weekly wash cycle.

is it absolutely correct that you dont need detailing spray, i.e. it's perfectly sufficient with soapy water ? cheers. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

Yes, a decent car shampoo/soapy water mix is fine (not fairy liquid). Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

No worries Thumbs Up

If you really want to get into the geek side of cleaning, take a look at Detailing World, there are some great user guides on there and tips and tricks to take cleaning up a notch or two. Don't really go on there much nowadays but it's a good resource. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked THAT BUCKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just watched the video, and oh my god, I would have a heart attack if someone went near my car with a bucket like that.

Looks like its been used to mix cement or tile grout etc??? Seriously how can a company expect to be taken seriously when it comes to cleaning cars when they don't even follow the basics like a 2 bucket method in a promo video and even zoom in on a builders bucket covered in Censored

Was thinking of ordering these the other day...........not so sure now Whistle

i was also looking at the sponge. i would have used a new microfibre wash cloth, new bucket to complement this new clay cloth product in my promotional video. good on them for their entrepreneurial spirit, no doubt they'll make changes shortly Thumbs Up Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

Shocked I'm no expert but I do pride myself in my Sports appearance - I would star that video - promo all over again - unfortunately it doesn't fill me with confidence - even if the product itself is A1. The bucket - the Sponge - & communication Embarassed
