Where is the keyfob RF receiver located exactly ?

I heard it's in the pillar, in the roof etc, does anyone know exactly where it is on a LHD USA Spec 2006 RRS SC ?

Malaysia 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Chawton White

The RF receiver is installed above the headlining, on the cross-rail between the top of the B pillars.

This might help with the wiring. Malaysia Boleh!

Bob,

Thanks a lot, it's unlikely that I dislodged anything between the pillars in the roof lining.... do you know if there is an antenna attached to the module ? I ask because I was fishing around the rear interior courtesy lights in the roof and I'm wondering what the wires embedded in the two rear windows are for ?

I don't think there's any antenna attached to the RF module.

I believe the the wires you are talking about would be leading to the four TV antenna elements, two in each of the rear side windows? Malaysia Boleh!

Sorry to bring up an old thread bobby,

But where abouts is it located? is it near the alarm sensor bit in the middle of the headlining.

Also whats the best way to access it, from the boot pulling headlining down or opening a rear door and going in from the side.

Think mine is faulty possibly water damaged Sad

Top Man! Thanks Bobby. Think mines had it, keys not working on the fob so thinking it was the battery prephaps, - brought a brand new key from Range Rover on Saturday and they couldnt get it work either!

So must be RF Reciever I guess?
