i think ive got a strange issue with my tow bar, it fits into the receiver fine but i cant operate the lock, the keys go in and out fine but wont lock the towbar in place, i seem to think the key shouldnt come out untill its locked.neither key will turn in it

has anyone had this problem and hopefully a solution

Hi make sure you pull out and turn the round knob on the side where there key goes in. Do this before you insert the tow at into the recess. When it is in the round knob should spring back round allowing you to remove the key.

hi nigel, the green knob is working fine its more of a key issue, the lock wont work with either key and i can put them in/out of the lock no matter what position the green knob is in

Give it a good soaking of WD40 or GT85 over night and then try  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
