Jasper ham has pretty much explained about the hidden potential of all Land Rover engines. Indeed the 295hp remap option as mentioned previously (if indeed that figure is dyno proven?) is much the same as the current Range Rover Sport's 292hp, although the 3.0 will make so much more! It's not appropriate that we should wring its neck though, as reliability is paramount. We've never had a single issue with these engines, and for good reason too! We have the tools, resources, and equipment for us to understand how the engine works, and exactly how to manipulate the software for a silky smooth upgrade of power and torque.

Our remapping for the 3.0 and 4.4 diesel engines is normally £495+vat.

All 3.0 TDV6 and SDV6 ECU's have to be reprogrammed on the bench. We can install a device called 'Spiderboot' which will allow OBD Read/Write, but this still requires the ECU to be opened on the bench, so pretty pointless in all honesty. Feel the difference... Feel Alive!

@ Alivetuning do carry out diagnostic checks before applying the remap, what usually happens should you find any error codes?

Will a remap increase soot out of the exhausts on a SDV6 This happened on my 2.7 which really spoilt the overall experience of having it remapped. It drove a lot better but at night when a car was following you and you put your foot down, it didn't look good in my mirror and i'm sure it wasn't good for the vehicle behind. |

Good question Ady, I believe so, let get some answers from Alive Tuning, I'm currently swaying towards them. Yep would not look good when you got a well taken care of RRSPORT giving off lots of black smoke |
