Just quickly put my phone cradle (crab) onto the drivers side central vent, it sort of fits but not great...

Where's every body installed theirs ?

Looking to make a neat and stable install so may have to get a new cradle if I can find a better solution.

I assume it sits on the mat rather than is held though, so perhaps difficult for actually using the device.

Yep but the LR phone interface isn't the best, in fact it's not really improved in 10yrs hence using the phone is easier.
