Thanks, didn't know about the battery life. Only used it once and it shut itself down soon after I switched the ignition off. I thought it was fully charged but may be not. Will see how it goes next time.

Been on the phone to Road Angel this morning fkarim. They recommend charging the unit for around 12 hours to make sure the battery is topped up.

So....with the 4 months free subscription from Halfords, I have just bought a further year which came with a further 2 free months, so all in 18 months for £65, not bad I thought. Must say, the RA customer service desk are very helpful, JLR could learn a thing or two Wink Whistle

Looking forward to using it tonight when I get home from work Cool ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

12 hours Shocked Mine didn't come with a mains charger so charge for 12 hours in the car? Not sure it was charging when I connected it to the computer. After drivers were installed on the computer the unit just said "Connected to PC. OK to unplug.". Don't think it was charging. At least there was no such indication on the screen.

Thought of that but didn't know if the power output matched. But if you have successfully charged yours without toasting it then I will give that a go Thumbs Up

Yup, as long as it's the iPhone (small 3 pin plug 5w) and not iPad (larger 12w) one then it'll be fine Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
