2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

Why 50km/h and 3rd Gear

I have a 2010 TDV8 and it only seems to really haul when 50km/h is reached and in 3rd gear. Why?

Clearly the engine is capable of much more in a lower gear and lower speed.
