A friend had a similar nail go in to his horse's hoof a few years ago. Cost him a couple of grand in vet bills and then the poor horse had to be put down as the damage was too great. That was caused by a builder carelessly discarding stuff. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I had the same problem a while ago, not with my tyres i'm relieved to say but my wifes car picked up a couple of screws in each back tyre while a new housing developement was being built just across from our street. I'm sure the builders just empty the trash from their vans on the way home. 2010 RRS, TDV8

In 1999 I bought a new Disco TD5, the first landrover I have owned, rugged, indestructible and far superior to every other car I had owned and a considerable investment £28k a lot of money to me in those days. It just happened to coincide with a move to a new build house on a half built estate, over the next few months I had nails, bolts and screws in my tyres, I still wonder at how these foreign objects force their way into the tyres, you could not hammer them in funny thing is that my wives golf must have floated over them all, not one puncture, go figure MY 2014 HSE Dynamic

We had our roof completely replaced 18months ago, and the roofer has left uncountable tile pins over the roof, most weekends i find at least two or three lying on my drive that have been blown off, ive just seen one in my tyre now, but im not too fussed, as the new overfinch wheels and tyres have not been fitted yet.
