We have just taken the engine out of my friends 2007 sport(what a fun job).
Taken the sump off and we found one broken big end,one fubar crank shaft and heat damage to all mains and big ends.
Local LR dealer says only new engine available £££££££. What is the availability of new parts 1crank plus mains and bigs,oil pump complete,1con rod and upper and lower gaskets?

I may say this with certain conviction, based on a lot of other post's on here.
1) There are no spare engine parts available, except to Land Rovers authorised engine rebuilder.
2) There are no "new" engines available, infact, there are no engines available at all, people have been waiting months for a recon one.

There is a company on ebay supply and fit v8 engine £3995
