Yes, belts must be changed by 105k or 7 years or big trouble can await.
What's your budget? There are many helpful people on here who can "steer" you to a nice car. I agree with the other posters, if you want a pimped look, that's fine (I don't like it) but its sometimes better to do it yourself than to buy someone else's pimped ride.

Unless you buy the tdv8 then you don't have the timing belt to do.
There are many threads about the v6 v's v8 so would that give you a few weeks of reading.
The sport started out with a 2.7 v6 then moved onto a 3.6 v8, then back to a 3.0.
As said it all depends on budget.
