Thing is I'm from the vdub world too and we have what we call scene tax, so just because it's an upgrade or modification for a vw it's well over priced as they know they will pay no matter what the cost.

maybe we do, but once developed whats the margin per set, then the more they sell the more they make, at £500 they will sell half as many |

^^^ I agree. Market research should be done to get an estimate to see what they could possibly sell them for per unit.
