The /55 is 25mm larger in diameter than the /50.

A 255 mixed with a 250 could be an issue when driving - recommend emergency use and restrictions as per handbook |

I assume he's going to be running 255/55 on the road and wants to carry the same size as a spare... |

I have two sets of wheels, I use the AT tyres with 19" wheels when going to Morocco or doing a bit of off roading. The 20" set are for motorways etc. I initially had only 4x 19" wheels, but thought there might be an issue should I need to use the spare, originally designed for use with the 20" rims. I've just purchased a used rim and new tyre to have a same size spare but have not yet tried to fit it on the spare wheel winch.
