Will a chip box damage the engine in any way? is it safe to use?
What's the common problems?

Need to put the positive up against the negative before purchase. RRS 2006 2.7 HSE

Considering the seller I bought the box from has sold 50+ and has all positives for it I think that would be a good indication that the box causes no issues but also it does what it says on the tin.

It does NOT give you the ridiculous gains stated on the listing but does a fair bit which is worth the money spent

Very Happy

It comes on 3 as standard, I have mine set on 5 right now for performance

keep it on 3, have a drive, if you want more then put it on 4, but slowly increase for your preference. I reckon dont go higher than 6.

only change the level with engine fully off with keys out.

Have a good read through the instructions he sent you, explains everything about the dip switches & timing. Thumbs Up

Thanks for the input Thumbs Up
As long as you get more power and less turbo lag it's all good.
A remap here in Norway will be £499 but you will prob get the +38 bhp. RRS 2006 2.7 HSE

Karen, are the positives received for the seller to do with the service the customers received from buying the item and not for how the chip has performed over a period of time knowing how the ebay feedback score works. I don't think you will get to hear about any failures on his feedback score. Whistle I certainly wouldn't trust a cheap chip in a very expensive engine.

i was going to say the same, the buyers will give him the thumbs up five stars because they posted it out ASAP

not a running history, unless they gave feedback X months afterwards

i'd agree with you there Ady ! i'd rather have a 10% mpg improvement via the more expensive remap ! and if i was worried about the money, i would save 50 quid a month until i could afford one Thumbs Up Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

Hi

I'm trying to install this to my car at the moment. But cannot locate the common rail sensor.

I don't think its in the same place a Karan mine is a early 2006 TDV6 2.7.

This this at the back of the engine in the middle?? (As in the the picture)

Any help appreciated.

Hi dhups,

Please take a full picture of the right hand side of the engine so I can spot the pressure sensor, cannot see it in your picture it is a bit lower.

Thanks

Thanks Adigorn Thumbs Up

I thought that was it as I understnad it chaged for the later TVD6 engines so Karan's is in a different location.
