i have a good friend from Kenya and he tells me these cars are extremely expensive in Africa, so it could be kosher Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

I'm a member on a few other car forums, and you really wouldn't believe how many people do fall for it! There have been a few posts recently 'my mate sold his car to someone... '. Don't know how people can be that silly! I'm sure most of the time the money gets recovered anyway, can't be a great business for the scammers |

I do a LOT of business in Africa and have travelled on business often to sub saharan african countries especially Nigeria over the last 6 years or so. There are a lot of wealthy people who buy these cars as a status symbol and you should not be worried provided you are very careful with what information you give. You have to bear in mind that whether it's Africa or Asia or the US or Essex, you should not divulge any more information than you need to.

I'm sure there are lots of legitimate buyers, but the scams are ridiculous, and often involve off-shore oil rigs and Paypal transfers, or western union. They seem to make it really obvious so that only silly people fall for it! |

Well in this case, as usual, I've no doubt is a scam and a waste of my time. They're almost as bad as Webuyanycar and their continuous offers of 'the asking price'... |
