lower arm knocking vs roll bar clunking

do these sound similar?
i took the car in to rectify the knocking sound. lower arm bush worn, so whole arm replaced.
noise is still there and told its the rollbar bush.
question is, shouldnt that have been obvious the first time it went in?
do they sound so similar that you need to eliminate one to expose the other? 07 TDV8 + BAS map

They do sound very similar.

However, there are ways to determine where the noise is coming from.

I found a big lever bar between lower wishbone & ARB showed up 2mm play in my N/S front lower BJ. Couldn't get any play in ARB bushes.

Changed it in 2hrs.

Not too difficult thanks to Mikey's helpful Wiki Thumbs Up

You can tell the difference. Usually if you tap the brakes like a cadence braking and it knocks its the lower arms and if you shake steering wheel side to side at low speeds it usually the anti roll bar bushes
