I don't want to incase the seller is a member on there Yes the are a bit of an acquired taste, but I've never had one so need to scratch that itch. Luckily it won't be a daily, more of an option when I want to remind myself that car's have come a long way, and that my daily driver van isn't so bad afterall Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. Depends on price but 90/110 Defenders are generally priced on condition not on year, one thing I will say the arches are either too big or have been relocated higher to accomodate bigger wheels and those D1 wheels are too small which unless the speedo cable has been changed will give you a higher speed reading than you are actually going, See my gallery for a pic of mine to get an eye for the proportions |

Looks fine, not keen on the arches or Disco alloys but they are easy to sort.

for me he says he gone to the trouble of replacing the engine (and wire brushing and sealing chassis) but then couldnt be bothered sorting out a wire or hose he says he caught putting it in and the quick easy fix for the thermostat gauge that is quick and easy and cheap but hasnt done

They look like after market arches, i spy some rivet holes along the top edge of them whereas your lower ones are smooth and much lower. The wheels do look like smarties in thoese arches
Luckily for me I'm 5 foot 9 so never had the problem of being to tall for anything
I don't mind the arches but I cant help but think it needs an enormous set of tyres to match them. If they've been riveted on then they'd most likley stay as I don't want to be getting into arsing around repairing panels etc. Appriciate your post!
I'll question that plenty, good to know it's a cheap quick and easy fix though! Yeah the wheel's really don't do it for me in the slightest, but they're easy enough to change Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. Defender 90 pick up. Chilly makes some very valid points, it does not look right with those arches & wheels, seems odd not to have bothered sorting out the thermo or whatever the issue is. Not sure I'd consider it as there are plenty of examples out there if you want a Defender, although £3k you are entry level end of the pricing scale. As stated by others, always take a good look underneath looking for rot or significant off-road damage and check all docs and serial numbers etc as lots of these vehicles have history and not all of it is good. That said I really miss mine and will be acquiring a replacement at some stage. -------------------------------------------------------- RRS TDV8 Black/Black (Gone) RRS TDV8 Stornaway (Gone) RR Vogue TDV8 (Gone) RRS 4.4V8 (Gone) Defender 110 300tdi (Stolen, much missed) RR Vogue V8 P38 (Gone) LR 90 TD (Gone) |

That's a great looking vehicle, would love something like that. I'm not very current on prices etc but I think you should be able to find a half decent one for £3k, avoid the TD as it has a bad rep (although I had one for a few years with no issues) but 200 or 300Tdi are pretty solid engines.
