Don't go cheap as they may go ahead when they shouldn't go to the very best private eye surgeon you can and take his advice, you only get one chance with your eyes! Thumbs Up

Cannot agree more. Go to see a Specialist you have been recommended to - usually through your GP - do some research yourself and then you can make an informed choice. I wouldn't touch Optical Express or similar outfit tho'. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Not had it done myself, but have constantly thought about it since a good friend had it done 3 years ago. Only thing stopping me is I have a complex prescription and a stigmatsm Confused

He had his done a Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. The surgeon he had also operated on fighter pilots to give them long sight Bow down Shocked

I know he paid strong money, but the guy came recommended as one of the best. No way on gods earth I'd consider OE or any other chain to be honest. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

The only reason I said Optical Express is I know 2 people who had it done with great results.

I too have a complicated prescription and astigmatism which I understand nowadays is not an issue.

I am expecting to pay around the £2K mark, is this underestimated?

My wife looked into having done. Her eyes are quite bad and she has to pay for super super skinny and light lenses so at £400 a pair she thought eye surgery in the long term was the way to go. She was warned that due to the fact that her eyes were quite bad, she may struggle to drive at night especially when rainning as it may cause more glare. She therefore decided against, so it's something to think about or ask about. 07 tdv8 stornoway grey at home tucked up

My eyes are not suited to this to improve them but know of folk who have had it done with good and bad results. Think it prudent to do research and find a reputable surgeon to do it. Having suffered ulcers and the resulting hoaking damaging eye lens by some junior quack 75 hours into shift, the consultant is the key to success Bow down 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!

A friend of ours had contact lenses inserted under a flap of skin on the eye for £7k per eye. She absolutley recommends it. For me, I'd worry every time I rubbed my eye (yuk)!

I would love to have laser surgery done but was told about 5 years ago I'd still require lenses / glasses (that was Optical Express). I'm very short sighted at -11.5 in each eye. Going down the inserted lense route would be the only option for me. They are probably worse now as I'm cracking on a bit.! 2013 (13.5MY) RRS HSE Black | Causeway Grey | Privacy | Ivory & Ebony | Grand Black Lacquer | Style 7 Alloys | AWESOME
