Cannot agree more. Go to see a Specialist you have been recommended to - usually through your GP - do some research yourself and then you can make an informed choice. I wouldn't touch Optical Express or similar outfit tho'. Not had it done myself, but have constantly thought about it since a good friend had it done 3 years ago. Only thing stopping me is I have a complex prescription and a stigmatsm

The only reason I said Optical Express is I know 2 people who had it done with great results.

My wife looked into having done. Her eyes are quite bad and she has to pay for super super skinny and light lenses so at £400 a pair she thought eye surgery in the long term was the way to go. She was warned that due to the fact that her eyes were quite bad, she may struggle to drive at night especially when rainning as it may cause more glare. She therefore decided against, so it's something to think about or ask about. 07 tdv8 stornoway grey at home tucked up

A friend of ours had contact lenses inserted under a flap of skin on the eye for £7k per eye. She absolutley recommends it. For me, I'd worry every time I rubbed my eye (yuk)!
