Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

No worries mse. What did you mean then? Its not the first time I have missed your meaning. I might be a bit thick and slow to understand.

RRSTDV8, Thanks for your kind words, I must be careful but so far D4rius hasn't complained about me to Martin and I have tried to be nice. That last bloke i upset (Drew who has never been back) complained and reported me to Martin. He claimed I insulted his family. I don't think I did, I would never do that. I am not a bad bloke, I just see humour and BS where others maybe don't. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

What i meant as an example, not as a view, would be offensive hence not saying it...unlike the similar comments in reverse to the UK Thumbs Up Mike

@BKHK I have no intention to complain about you - I will take a very Royal approach towards you. Ignoring you and your shallow comments will be best for me and people in my position. Whilst you cannot help with constructive advice you will be left alone. Seems that you and only you are amused by your comments.
I feel sorry for you as you are like a lost soul looking for its resting place. BMW forums are where you belong yet somehow you are drawn towards RRS. What a shame. You still haven't found what you are looking for.

At least what I am looking for is RRS and I am barking up the right tree.

@mse and @RRSTDV8 no point to reply to BKHK artificially inflated uneducated comments - he knows it best and I for one would not challenge his ideas. Let him thrive in his little world Smile

Appreciate your good advice thus far. After speaking with Anthony from LR (James' man in charge) I am more determined to get the right RRS. Thank you gents.

D4rius

In the 3rd post I gave you this advice.

Buy as new and as low mileage as you can afford. Buy a clean stock standard car. Conversions to 2010 are worthless so pay for the actual year car you are buying. Any other modifications are worthless and essentially junk. The more modifications, the narrower the market for re sale.

I would add that if I was buying used, I would have the car fully assessed by an indy. Especially if you are on a tight budget. Simple front wheel wobble can be something as expensive as a rear differential, I know, my first car had it from day 1. It might just be a balance, tyres or brake discs but it may not. These cars are complex and some people skimp on maintenance. Also look for posts on here by 2nd Rower, he had terrible issues on his car. He traded it on a local station wagon (estate car to you) Warranty is your friend. Having had one bad and one good, I loved good but hated bad (I spent most of the time driving a loan Pikey Wagon)

If you do buy an RRS, beware, the sinking feeling resulting from not doing your homework will last a lot longer than the feeling of class brought on by driving your RRS. See ya Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HST Java Black

I bought my RRS about two month ago privately, I wanted it this way so I could get a feel for the history of the car and not a few stamps in a book.

So far everything has been fine, I've come from owning a over a dozen Mercedes cars (and still own two now) and all the horror stories can be a bit off-putting but it's a chance with any car manufacturer. I could list plenty of 'common faults' of the Teutonic manufacturers...

Good luck in your search and whatever you do, don't buy an X5 because they're a bag of shoite.
