Yes I got a 20% improvement but I added some Millers Diesel Power Eco Boost to the tank at the same time so I don't know which made the difference Maybe it was both. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE |

Tommy, that's good to hear. Were the MAP sensors fouled up and what mileage has the car done? Am very interested to hear if your mpg improves on your 600 mile trip. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Thanks for the feedback Tommy. Not bad for a high speed long run. I'm assuming your figures are the on-board computer. At slightly lower speeds my (unmapped) TDV8 shows about 29 on the computer and actual calculated is 26.5. This weekend got caught in the motorway hold up from hell on the M25 at junction 25: 3 hours going nowhere which has knocked the average down to 22.8 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

I've just pulled mine and they are mildly oily so re-fitted without cleaning.

Only takes a few minutes to spray them with carb cleaner so while they are out you may as well try it. Reset fuel consumption on the computer and see what happens? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE |

I've just checked mine and they're just a little oily - more on one than the other interestingly. I think I'll pick up some carb cleaner next time I'm in town and give them a clean. Be interesting to see if it makes any difference. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
