Trolley Jack and best procedure

Instead of taking our car to the tyre fitters every time I swap wheels, winter to summer etc, I'm thinking about buying a trolley Jack.
Can anyone recommend one that will lift a RRS with ease and is not too big in size?

Also, what is the best procedure for doing a corner at a time, I've read stories of people hitting a compressor, lifting tailgate and putting hazard light on with vehicle in extended height!

What is the simple solution please?

Tip - When changing wheels I always put the unattached wheel under the car just in case the car slips off the jack. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I'm sure somebody was selling a machined part to fit into trolley jack and hole in chassisIt . might be worth doing a search on this site it might fit particular jacks if you wanted one for safety's sake??

Well worth the money for safety and piece of mind. Had one made locally when I had a Sport, no fear of slipping off the trolley jack once pin located in chassis hole.

Mine has since been modified to suit the FFRR so not available now.
