The mpg on instruments is displayed l/km and I want it to be miles.

Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

If its a face lift car / 3.0tdv6 like mine then you can change the settings in the service menu under 'trip computer', 'units'. This will change your digital read out to kms, but will also change the trip read outs and your total mileage in to kms until you revert back to mph settings.

Had to do this last week when driving in France/Belgium as it was only then that I twigged the speedo didn't have a kmh dial as well as mph  2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

It is very very simple.

1) ign on
2) push the button on the end of the left hand column stalk
3) follow the prompts on the display
4) back and forward button (with arrows on it) to move to next item
5) + and - button to swop from metric to imperial
