Sounds quite good to me. I got about 8% off my new Disco Hse Luxury. So around 10% sounds like a good deal. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Sounds like a good deal to me. Is that in the region of 6k? Not bad at all |

The rule of thumb is that 10% is the max retail normal purchase discount you will achieve...you can get more for other reasons, but 10% is the max discount to expect for the majority of people Mike

I'm not sure flat discount is always the issue.

^^^^ Totally agree and my deal was a combination much like yours, but, in basic terms 10% does seem a good discount. If you don't get the right offer on trade in for your old wheels then there are other options such as We Buy Any Car or private sale. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Agree with scrumps. Cost to change is what really matters but if you can get a good discount on the new RRS it perhaps gives you more flexibility to sell your old car elsewhere.

100% agree with the above. Look at the cost to change as opposed to an attractive discount or part-exchange figure in isolation. To get one or other is great but only the figure to change is the true transaction cost.
