Im looking to purchase my first Range Rover, and im looking to purchase the sport model. Ive decided to go down the 3.6 TDV8 model as i highly Doubt my budget would allow me to tap into the more recent 3.0 TDV6.

Few questions will the HSE model have a usb port to play music off a usb stick?? Also does it have a Parking Camera??

Also in terms of kit looking at either the HST kit or i quite like the AutoBiography kit, anyone know where i can source them even if they are used?


Finally any one selling any or can recommend any? ive got up to £24k to spend

Hi Ishy,

Doubt you'd get a 2nd generation RRS for your budget but you should get a decent TDV8 HSE.

Re the music, alas and to my own annoyance, no USB music option in the earlier cars, they do have an auxillary port for plugging MP3s etc

However, the TDV8 HSE does have ICE which is a great sound system, if only it had usb!

The TDV8 does not come with reversing camera, but Hids4u do a reversing camera kit that uses the sat nav display so looks very OEM RRS gone

My tdv8 has a usb in the glove box and plays music off a flash drive no probs.

very interesting, as mine had nearly every option ticked when new, all except this one i assume  07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater )))

Mine too has the USB socket in the glove box, it was part of the iPod integration kit.

One limitation of it is that it can only handle up to 256Mb thumb drives, anything bigger and it gives problems. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh
