Front suspension arm bushes

Hi there looking for some help ,I have a 2006 ,2.7 diesel Sport and my front passengers side tyre is starting to wear slightly on the outside edge. I was wondering if the bottom suspension arm bushes were worn if this would cause the wearing of the tyre. If so Iam looking into replacing the bushes on both front arms .
Is there anything I have to look out for when removing these arms or are they pretty straightforward.I have a friend with a press who will remove the old and replace the new bushes, can anyone recommend the best bushes to go for. Genuine Land Rover or any better alternatives. Smile

The bolts in the lower arm will be seized, unless they have been out before. You will probably have to end up cutting the arms to bits to get them off the car. Prepare for lots of cutting and grinding and probably swearing. I have done loads of sets, and every one has been the same.

By the time you factor in a set of bushes, and ball joints, you can buy complete aftermarket arms. And you dont have to worry about getting the arms off in one piece.

You can buy Genuine parts, or OEM. No real difference in ride quality etc, only a difference in price

And you will need to factor in a wheel alignment afterwards Thumbs Up

Thanks Mikey
I take it I do also have to slacken or remove the driveshaft from the hub to remove the arm too. Have priced bushes and arms from main dealer approx £80 for the bushes and £220 each for the arms. Who would you recommend for buying arms or bushes.

Would these bushes being worn be the cause of the front tyre starting to wear on the outer edge. Smile
