England 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Newbie

Good evening, I've recently taken the plunge and bought a sport TDV8 in Java black, wanted a V6 because of the money but its amazing the difference between the two and some how managed to find the little bit extra to get the V8. Very happy with it and it is everything I hoped it would be. One question, are they prone to random faults? Drove to work this morning fine, everything working, started it before I left work to de mist the windscreen, set off and noticed the little "I". Scrolled through to find transmission fault. Thought, great, stopped for fuel, started up and little "I" has now gone and no fault there. When the fault was there, I found that move the gear knob was moved to the sport position it did nothing, just stayed with the D on the dash. But after stopping all works fine.
Ideas anyone?

Danny

Oh it's done 47K

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Mine shows this fault occasionally. Haven't yet got to the bottom of it but there are a whole load of error codes that just relate to irregular voltage errors which are on occasion momentary and are cleared by the engine restart.

You could ask your local LR dealer or indie to see what fault code is stored. Might be useful to see if it is just an irregular voltage error. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
