Hi peeps, I have a question regarding my sat nav. I have a 08 RRS and yesterday my satnav started playing up. It was showing the car in the wrong location on the map, the car's moving but not on the correct roads!!! As far as the satnav was concerned i was still in the location i'd just left
On the top left hand corner of the screen the GPS signal has a red line through it so no signal at all.
Not sure if its a loose plug/sensor or something worse. Any advice on tackling this would be welcome

These problems can be very hard to track down.

1) Find and clean disc (simplest job) but with no GPS signal displayed its not the likely culprit.
2) Check the antenna for security of mounting, connections, corrosion of connections etc.
3) If its not the above, then its the NAV unit itself but unlikely .

Most probable cause is something between antenna and NAV unit.

Ok thanks will check the atenna which im guessing is the shark finn on the roof???
Is it easy to get access ??
