Lack of power, poor throttle response etc

As yours is a 55 plate, they can be blanked. Pair of blanking plates can be bought off Ebay for £10 Thumbs Up
There are 2 valves, one on each side. Normally they fail without warning.

The battery is located under the rear right hand plastic cover, if you stand at the front of the car

Personally, I would have them blanked off, regardless if there was an issue or not.

If the valve does fail, in true LR fashion, it will fail at the most inopportune moments!

If they are blanked, and a valve does fail, you will never know about it Thumbs Up

It wont interfere with the MOT as yet. It is still not a failable item.

However, if the valves are blanked, it is quite difficult to see if it has been done, due to lack of access/visibilty down the side of the engine.
There is a more expensive EGR removal kit available, but this kit does away with the pipework all together. IF it then does become a failable item, these people may then have to buy themselves all the appropriate pipework to make it look like they have not been tampered with Whistle

They are easy enough to do. Last set I done in just over 30 mins

There is a how to floating around someplace, over on D3 IIRC

So it's better to blank than remove so if it does become mot able you should be ok what is d3 iirc please

I've been thinking of blanking mine off, is it possible on an 07, I've read somewhere that it might not be, how can I tell for sure? Is it a chassis number thing?

The 10th digit of the chassis number, corresponds to the model year of the car.

For example, SALLSAA137A****** would be an 07MY. It changes at 2010MY to letters, instead of numbers Thumbs Up

Blonde question - what does the MY stand for?

My chassis number is SALLSAA137A1***** does this mean it can be blanked with the kit?
