Current situation is they're fitting the steering rack and will tomorrow be connecting to their computer whereupon they'll 'have a look to see if it can be activated'

I don't hold out much hope tbh........

I tried the same tactic when mine was recovered by LRA, they said they could, but then told me JLR said no......go figure  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

It can be activated with aftermarket diagnostics, such as Autologic or Faultmate

I'm having mine activated today (hopefully) by the contact MSE gave to me.

2014 Facelift Discovery

Another simple question..hopefully.

It says 20 min heat/vent however setting it for 0610 if I take a little longer getting ready in the morning it's still burning 30 mins later. What's going on ? MY11 RRS HSE

Are you sure it's running...eg clocks wrong?

The timer is built into the system, so unless there is a power problem it either works or not. Mike

It's still running I can hear it and the heater light is on.
Clock is correct, unless the heater is starting late because of a heater/clock communication problem.

I take it that the whole system should switch off after 20 mins or would a fan still be blowing the warm air until the temp falls below a certain threshold? MY11 RRS HSE

unit runs for 20 minutes, no more - it cant run any longer its not programmed to, no over-rides or options.

The only option is for it to cut off or not start early if there is a battery or fuel issue.

Mine turns itself off after 20 minutes bang on Mike
