My wife works for the NHS and has been told that her wage will be decreased of the next 3 years as cost cutting.

But then my Brother in law has just got a freelance job with NHS in IT and they are throwing 3 or 4 times her month wage at him each month, for in his words doing Censored all and giving him ipads so he can do his emails whilst at the airport

sore subject in my house Evil or Very Mad

^^^ Father in Law works for the NHS, some of the stories I hear on wastage (like your brother, no offence intended Nick Wink ) and the disproportionate pay for people is enough to make your blood boil.

Don't think they'll ever get to the bottom of sorting it all out, too many people feathering their own nest and looking out for themselves, whilst others like your wife are getting paid less for doing the same job year on year. Censored shocking ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Yes the consultancy method of staff management is rarely implemented correctly.

These guys should be on short, 3 month projects and should be worked hard (7 days a week with tough deadlines) to make it work..otherwise you just get long term, very expensive guys just taking the mike and upsetting the others RRS gone

My wife stopped working when we had our first child but wants to go back to at least working from home as soon as child number two starts nursery. I don't see the point as she has "gathered" a couple of dozen new friends during the last 6 years and is quite busy throughout the week. Wouldn't mind a second income though, especially with ever-increasing taxes on mine Evil or Very Mad

My wife works - she deserves a better job. Personally think she is great.

I work with the NHS on occasions - all i see with the restructuring is lots of people safeguarding their own jobs (that were already high), whilst the real hard workers get very low wages and of the few that are going, they get massive payouts.

I could have sorted the NHS out without loosing the posts but save a fortune...lets move on. Mike
