Wobbly Fog Light

Noticed that my off-side front fog light isn't as secure as the near side so thought I'd pop in to LR Reading and find out if it could be a quick fix.

Nope! Laughing

Broken bracket apparently (c.£50), requiring c.2hrs to strip the front bumber, headlight and wheel arch liner off for access to facilitate the replacement Shocked (I do know that the front corner had had a minor scrub prior to me buying it, so that would explain it - but the wobbly light was missed by me on inspection so can't really grumble Big Cry )

I may consider the opinion of my local indi, but until then, and as it only wobbles when touched, it will remain wobbly! Laughing 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

Is there a chance that a little dab transparent silicon sealer applied to the front edge would hold it in place but not be visible?
