Cheers - yep, know Tim on the Babyrr forum and he has kindly commented over there. Yeah, I think the largest obstacle to get my mind over is whether to willingly take the hit on getting one now and chop it in for the new model in 2014. I was quite happy and not considering a change until my wife pointed out that there is no room for her labrador when she goes to Belgium for her father's 70th soon. With the Disco 4 we got into the habit of taking the dog with us everywhere. Last edited by Coolbanana on Wed Oct 24 2012 2:43pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Dynamic Response is the grand daddy of all RRS inventions (enhanced further by Adapative Dynamics on later versions) |

I (obviously!) have an RRS, whilst my business partner has just taken delivery of an evoque, when we first took the evoque out for a test drive last year, if felt as compliant and comfy as my RRS, but now haven driven ours for a bit ,it is quite crashy on our poor potholed roads. The steering feels too light with it being electronic instead of the hydraulic in mine , which feels planted all the way round tight corners.

Update: Found a 2012 RRS SDV6 HSE with some nice options and put down a deposit and agreed a deal. Got until Monday to make up my mind and will be test driving on Sunday.

I agree on the price of the RRE they are way way over priced, the bubble will burst very soon, 3 of my pals got them and 3 of them have all sold them and moved up to the RRS, Not what they had hoped they were and too small for what they wanted, |

I'm inclined to agree but will confirm either way tomorrow after the test drive. My RRE was £46k new and I've had it for 11 months. The petrol is a more engaging drive that the diesel imho but will suffer in the not too distant future with depreciation as petrol is not as popular. You do get used to the narrow windows - especially if you have surround cameras. The ride is comfortable but definitely not as compliant as my Disco 4's was. I'm loathe to buy new as I will want the next gen model in 2014 so a very low mileage used / demo one will suit me for the next 12-18mths. I usually keep my cars between 24-36mths so getting the RRE - as nice as it i - clearly wasn't the best choice if I'm wanting to change already! |

Soooo, had a good look at the MY13 SDV6 HSE and really liked it. Test drive was good and the RRS is:

We own both cars, V6 HSE3.0 and RRE Prestige SD4. I can honestly say after 6 mo bnths ownership of both, that whilst my wife loves her car, she's welcome to it. Uncomfortable seats, imo, very noisy, road noise, for a £43k car and nowhere near as comfortable.
