2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Cairns Blue
Yeeeehaaaah......and bugga!

We got it today.....the Supercharged Sport is sat othe driveway!! Bow down It needs a slightly louder pipe (still waiting for recommendations on what to do in the noise department). It is wonderfully effortless....I already love it!

Anyway....I digress! I noticed a couple of times that when I was indicating right, i knocked the bloody high beam on (I always drive with lights on).

I noticed later that there is definitely a sticky switch kind of problem. After getting home and fiddling, I have noticed that if I hold the stalk up to turn right (not to where it clicks and stays, just like you would for overtaking....you know, just hold it up), it does NOT engage the high beam. As soon as it clicks, as if turning at a roundabout or into a junction, the bloody high beam stays on until ya fiddle with it slightly, or you engage full on (stalk forward high beam) amd disengage it again. Is this something I can cure with some GT85 and persistence, or do I need a new (ebay) stalk???

Needless to say the car isn't perfect, there is a very slight D bush knock at the front, but overall, its bloody good and I am very happy! Very Happy Supercharged and proud.....!

I don't want to insult your intelligence, but are you sure its the main beam that is coming on and not the halogen turn light that is coming on Question Sports have a little spot light in with the indicator that comes on with the indicator below 30 mph when you have your headlights on. One way to test it is by parking up with your lights on, switch the indicator on then get out of your motor and look into the front indicator lense, just make sure no one is around at the time to jump straight into your driving seat and drive off with your motor Thumbs Up Or park at the side of a wall and check it that way.

If I had any intelligence to insult....I am sure I could end up offended!! Rolling with laughter

The blue high beam indicator on the instrument cluster comes up and without the lights on, it was lighting up the guy opposites kitchen....which kept me amused, as he kept walking in to see what kept flashing ithe kitchen when the door was shut and the light was off (i guess he could see the light under his door)! Ner Ner Supercharged and proud.....!

6 weeks into supercharged ownership myself, I also keep knocking into high beam.. and took me a few days to realised the turn lights coming on were a feature ! ( couldnt figure out what was going on.. until i read about them here.)

in addition my elbow keeps knocking the stick into sport mode... not too sure if its a nervous reaction tho !

The indicator/high beam on mine is very sensitive and used to knock it but got used to it now Rolling Eyes

Im pretty sure it isnt just me/sensitive....?

If i click it up, it goes and STAYS high beam....and of course, if you pull the stalk and let go,it should spring back to dipped beam position....it doesnt....well, nit at all readily. It sticks. My Disco 3 had exactly the same stalk....no issues Confused Supercharged and proud.....!
