Rear Aux connector a dummy?

Hi Guys,

Finally got round to picking up a 3.5mm phono to phono lead so i can listen to my ipod through the aux input in my 2005 RRS S/C..... i go to plug in at the Aux point behind the centre console & it wont fit or push in enough? Sad

Any ideas or am i being completly stupid? Is it a dummy point? It clearly says aux above it.....I can't say plugging in a phono lead has ever stump me before!?

Shouldn't be a dummy so check to see if there is anything wedged in there?

it can happen that other people break them whilst in there. you should be able to pull the plastic out to get to the back of the plug and you may well find a bit of a phono plug or some other piece of childs toy in there! Bodsys Brake Bible

You are using a 3.5mm jack to 3.5 mm jack like this aren't you? http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Stereo-Jack-Plug-1-2M/dp/B00077DC3S
Just checking because 'phono' plug is something else. Apologies if you already have the right cable. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Hi Boday,

I have this problem at the moment.. The top tip of my able broke inside the plug... You seems Tom indicate that we should be able to remove the aux connector from the rear of the console... Any particular way to do that? Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6
