Anyone know who is the OEM supplier of batteries to Land Rover?

Thinking of upgrading the battery on my TDV8 diesel and thought I'd use one from the same OEM manufacturer as the Land Rover dealer says LR only specifies the standard 90Ah.

Bosch do a 110Ah with the same dimensions which i might go for if I can't establish who makes the ones fitted by the factory.

The battery I bought from the local LR garage (has the J/LR branding label) is badged as a Varta and is 90Ah, 950A. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I had read that the Varta/Bosch batteries are manufactured by the same company and then re-branded Varta or Bosch. The only difference is that Bosch offer a 4 year warranty on the battery (at least they did when I replaced mine).

When I replaced the battery in my FFRR I put a bigger battery in, as the short journeys in combination with enthusiastic use of the remote park heating over the winter period nearly killed the old battery off. Also as the alternator had also failed and completely emptied the original battery I was not 100% on its ability to hold a full charge.
