If your budget stretches to the FFRR then I guess it is a no brainer. Plus there are good deals to be had before the launch of the new model later this year |

Hi C1OKO, Do you really think it's a no brainer? I still prefer the interior of the RRS in some ways to the FFRR...but I have the say the 4.4TDV8 is a very nice lump and a FFRR has been on the 'to own' list since I was knee high! Am conscious that the new FFRR is also not far away but I think if I can get a good enough deal on a 6mth - 12 mth old FFRR then I could be seriously tempted as you say. Some decent deals on low mileage, nearly new RRS' at the moment too from what I can see.... Comments on the reliability of the newer RRS will certainly be a factor in the decision making process! |

Personally as much as I love the RRS lack of V8 diesel puts it on short end when it comes to decision re buying another diesel. If you were to choose the 5.0 SC then the whole story chnages

I have had my RRS about ten months now and covered about 9000 miles and have had no problems at all (famous last words). I still enjoy driving it as much as the day I picked it up but after treating myself to a new FF I find that I am driving that more, I just can't get enough of the V8. They are both fantastic cars and it is down to your own personal choice give them both a good test drive and see which you like the best. My own observations are: and this is just my personal opinion, the FF is faster 0-60 but the RRS is easier to drive fast if that makes any sense, the suspension on the FF is a lot more forgiving on uneven roads and it obviously has a lot more room inside. I do miss the RRS's electric tailgate and keyless entry on the FF and the voice control on the RRS is a much better system, not sure if that was at all helpful 12MY RRS Orkney Grey HSE Lux
