Every time ive changed a fuel filter - including on a D3 - ive never bled it - remove the old - top the new one up insert, start let run for a few minutes and it will self bleed.

The trick is to not fit one empty. Mike

you have to change the filter and leaave the ignition on for a few miutes that will be bleeding forr it, if you start it and it cuts out there is a valve by oil filter put cap into it with ignition on and it will bleed it
