I am interested in facts and your statement was well daft to say the least. Team dynamics is very well know and used brand in motorsport so they can't be that bad.

The irony..... this just gets better... my daft comment was in response to your daft comment ............ Catch Up Laughing

Martin said Replica wheels ..... not after market ie team dynamic wheels Rolling Eyes ill point out again he works fr a company who make after market wheels Laughing
You then suggest if someone said team dynamic wheels were crap they would be "prosecute you for libel." Rolling Eyes

Infact if you name the company on here I'm sure they could prosecute you for libel.

Would like to see the response from team dynamics etc when you tell them their wheels are crap.

Team Dynamics wheels are crap.....

stick to being a pub expert mate eh Thumbs Up

@ kensta sorry for the confusion, It's as shakeapaw says I was asking for proof that the op's statement was true.

@x5pea I had a simple misunderstanding of what the op ment, thanks for all your valuable input into this thread Rolling Eyes
As for the libel thing, if a guy from a "reputable" (I've never had any dealing so can't comment)company come onto a forum and say such a stupid statement with no facts to back it up. I never said for "anybody" to say team dynamics were crap, I was referring to the op as he is from a company.

li·bel /ˈlībəl/Noun: A published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation.

Me a pub expert? Haha hardly, I may not be the smartest person in the world but I've never been called stupid. Every word I've said is true. That's not pub expert..... That's just an expert Mr. Green

Team Dynamics used Dymag wheels for much of their BTCC years, they do make competition wheels that look surprisingly like sparco/speedline/compomotive etc

Here's some infor about wheels and tyres. It's USian, unfortunately, but might be useful in bringing some info to the playground:
http://www.modified.com/tech/0205scc_wheel_tech_guide/index.html

Out of interest, my original LR 20" wheels are stamped at max load of 900kg but LR specify that the 20" tyre must have a load rating of 950kg (rating 106). Not helpful. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

No was Google actually, what part of the op representing kahn making that statement is libel don't you understand??
You are more than welcome to your opinion same as everybody else, but if your going to make a statement then try and back it up with facts.

All I've done is asked the op for facts/examples to verify his statement, is that so bad? He could well post up all the information proving that all replica wheels are dangerous, but I have a sneaking suspicion that he can't prove they are all dangerous if any at all.

I've seen the pictures and post about some people having lots of bother with replicas, but then the same goes for original ones.
I've yet to see any proof whatsoever that one is better than the other, for all you/I/anybody knows the wheels could be coming out the same factory made by the same people using the same materials.

Reading the 1st post is enough to put me off buying replica wheels Shocked How much more evidence do you need Question If you are asking for numbers then i'm afraid i don't think you will get them because i don't think they are logged so no records are kept, looks like BMW have also had their fair share of cracked alloys, just google Bmw cracked alloys. Shocked

I remember seeing that post Ady, alloy was totally knackered. Shocked
That's a scary story, the post didn't give details of the alloys previous history, for all we know it could have been abused before hand, not that I'm saying it was but we just don't know.

If there's a few storys about cracked rims from overfinch or another aftermarket company(I've heard of a few, a quick search on Google will find lots) would you tell people that all of there alloys are dangerous and to stay away from them?
