Hi Guy's
I have a 2010 3.0 ltr hse sport and want to change the oil and filter between service intervels, has anyone done this and if so do you leave the ignition on whilst refilling with oil, and thus set the oil levels true level ?? anybody please. Confused

Best thing to do is follow above, put 4,5ltrs of oil in then go for a short drive to warm the car. Switch off and leave on level ground for 10 mins then check the OBC oil level , it will tell you exactly how much more oil the car needs! Very clever. Oil and fiter change is around 5.8 litrs of oil. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

I have 10MY 5lt s/c, checked the oil level few days ago and it asked for 0.5L top-up. It's not a diesel and it should not ask for any oil as far as I am concerned.

A trip to LPR should have happened last month but I could not make it due to work, but definitely going next week to see what the guys have to say Smile Vadim A.

Vadim, are you saying that in a petrol engine if the oil level is less than acceptable, there should not be a message advising how much oil to add?

I think it would. Malaysia Boleh!

No No Bobby. What I meant was that I never heard of any petrol RRS asking for oil in between yearly services. Hence I always thought adding oil to such engines is very unusual (in between services). So I am a bit concerned. Vadim A.
