It's GAP bean, my insurance were only paying out 43k for the car so the GAP paid the rest.

It is time to look at the new my13 colours and new options which will be available.

P.s my mrs is getting a red edition RRS. 2012 RRS Autobiography, Fuji White all the toys

Be careful Fraser as most GAP providers will only pay the difference between the replacement cost/invoice price and either the Glass's value or insurance payout, but whichever is higher.

£43k payout is way off the mark for a 1 day old AB Sport (6 month HSE with 8k miles books at more) therefore I would suggest that the GAP provider will probably not stem the gap between this figure and the replacement cost. You don't want to end up plugging the GAP yourself between the payout sum and the GAP payout.

Good luck with it, it's a real shame, but at least you're ok.

James Thumbs Up

Blimey, as said, £43k offered from insurance company sounds like a complete mickey take to be honest. Example like this really boil my p Censored s

Then again, I suppose as long as it doesn't cost you anything, then who cares how the amount is made up,............ but I'd still be having a word with the insurance company asking them to justify their £43k offer for what was a showroom A/B. Failing that, maybe ask them if you can buy a £43k i day old A/B off them, I'm sure there would be a fair few takers on here Laughing

GAP is one of those things you always think, 'oh, not more money' but it's cases like this that you realise it is worth it. Mine costs £192 for 4 years cover, which is a no brainer. Razz

Just hope everybody out there with new cars buys GAP, else they could be in for a big shock if the unthinkable happens. Sad ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Or have decent insurance with an agreed value.

Sorry to hear of the accident. Interested to hear how you are able to get not one but two ABs within 12 weeks of ordering. My first took 7 months, the second 7 months also.
