Just in case anyone is looking for a decent set of off-road tyres to fit the 19" rims on the TDV8, I have recently fitted a set of Goodyear MTR tyres on my second set of rims and I was very impressed with them over the weekend. Some pictures below:

Had the same tyres on my old RRS - will last you many many miles but they are a little noisy. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I only put them on the car when I'm planning on going off-raod. I still have another set of rims with road tyres that I use for the daily road driving; that way I don't have to suffer the noise or reduced handling. Best of both worlds definitely requires two sets of rims. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres. |

Very true - I bought myself an airjack for quick wheel changing, it lifts both wheels off the ground on one side and is pretty safe. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

That is going to be my next purchase as I nearly put my back out changing all 4 wheels individually using the standard jack supplied with the RRS. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres. |

Make sure you get a good one. Also you will need a bung for the exhaust, there is a chap on our sister site disco3.co.uk called NoDo$h who sells his own bungs which are a fantastic bit of kit. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Great tyres, I have a set on 19" rims which I use for offroad / winter, they are great in the snow but still can be a little slippy on ice. Last winter it was -28c here and they performed really well in 30cm of snow |

A poor design by Land Rover for what its required to do. You should try changing a wheel off road with it.. I have had that unfortunate experience! ![]() |

Hallo. The size is 255/50R19 or 255/55R19?

Hi Carlo, they are 255/55/R19 so slightly larger than the standard road tyres but within the allowable range. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres. |
