I have an 'up and over' door and the car would technically just fit through the gap but the metal work juts out at just the wrong place so I have to fold the mirrors in which is fine. Surround cameras help anyway and I end up about 9 inches from the rear wall leaving a couple of inches between the interior garage door handle and roughly the middle of the grill.

I back my car into my garage and i can leave about 3 inch from the end of my bonnet to the garage door with my car in access mode the door closes without touching the bonnet, but my garage door is 6ft 6" high which is slightly higher than a standard garaged door, this is the reason i can park so close to the door. Best bet get a test drive and try it before you buy I had my garage built to accommodate my sport. |
