Range Rover Sport Dimensions - Help appreciated

Hi
I'm new to this forum and about to purchase a 2006 Range Rover Sport supercharged which I'm really excited about. However, before I go any further, I need to be sure it will fit in my garage - I'm 90% sure it will.
The dimensions I've been capture from the internet are the following:
Height: 1816mm
Length: 4798mm
Width: 1928mm
Width including wing mirrors: 2170mm
My garage is conservatively 5000m in length which sounds like it will accomodate the car nicely providing I reverse the car in. However, my garage door is an 'up and over' which cuts into the real length and based on the 4798mm length of the car, the key dimension I need, which I'm missing is the height of the bonnet. I'm based in London (Dulwich to be precise) and the car I'm buying is based in Birmingham.
I may need to hire a RRS for the day to put my mind at rest but if any kind forum member has the accurate bonnet height I'd really appreciate it, so I can continue my 'garage modelling'. Even better, if there is a forum member who lives in Dulwich/close to Dulwich who can spare 15mins so we can trial parking in my garage that would be even better.
Many thanks in advance, Paul

I have an 'up and over' door and the car would technically just fit through the gap but the metal work juts out at just the wrong place so I have to fold the mirrors in which is fine. Surround cameras help anyway and I end up about 9 inches from the rear wall leaving a couple of inches between the interior garage door handle and roughly the middle of the grill.

If your garage door is standard I guess it will be about the same. I can only get out of the car because it is a double garage with two single doors. So my nearside is by the wall. I cannot open those doors or the boot whilst in the garage. (5K and I can convert to a large single door Shocked ).

Hope that helps, if I was closer to Dulwich I'd pop round. Have you tried a local LR dealer to 'test drive' your parking. They don't need to know you won't buy and you can sound them out for servicing.

Richard

Richard, many thanks for your reply.

So is your garage a similar length to mine? The aperture of my garage is 2120mm but widens either side once you're inside. I'm confident I'll be able to tuck it close to the nearside wall and be able to get out/in from the drivers door.

I tried Stratstone Woodford earlier today but suprisingly, they don't have one in stock to test drive!?!

Richard, really helpful, thanks for your response. Do you have the dimension to the bonnet? I'll still hold out to see if there's anybody local, he says optimisitcally Very Happy

I back my car into my garage and i can leave about 3 inch from the end of my bonnet to the garage door with my car in access mode the door closes without touching the bonnet, but my garage door is 6ft 6" high which is slightly higher than a standard garaged door, this is the reason i can park so close to the door. Best bet get a test drive and try it before you buy Thumbs Up I had my garage built to accommodate my sport. Wink

thanks Ady

I was reasonably confident with my measuring and sure the car would fit but I'm feeling less sure now. Both your responses are helpful and I know deep down I should try this out myself.

I'll see if there's a car I can test drive tomorrow and test with my garage.

thanks again

Paul

Sadly I cannot respond to your private message as I haven't posted 5 times yet. I'm in West Dulwich, so appreciate your message and hope you get this Smile

Best
