A worrying problem Jonathan, especially on a 50K+ car!

...try £70k car... Apparently it was a known fault on the Jags about 2008 when they took over this type of rotary selector but was solved. I honestly just think it's a faulty unit which needs replacing but the dealers have to agree!! I honestly think it's a one off, the unit has been changed, they are test driving it for a day and all being well I will be picking it up tomorrow! Keep your fingers crossed for me! Car is back gents, no problems to report as yet. Gear change module replaced. Let's hope it's all sorted! Apparently had the big wigs from land rover calling up for a full report as it was a new fault... Jaguar XKR Convertible

happened to me when I had the jag. They took it away and replaced the module, although it took them over 2 weeks to do this. When I got it back I had no problems so I hope it's the same for you. 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic, Corris Grey with contrast Santorini Black Panoramic Roof, lunar interior, privacy glass, upgraded Meridian system, cooled 18 way front seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive xenons, large screen wash bottle.
